I live on the edge of thousands of acres of wild natural forests, but between these forests are orderly plantations of Scotch Pines and hybrid poplars.  They create a semblance of order.  I have a fascination for older plantations where the growth is beginning to move from order to disorder, gaining identity and character as it grows.
